This 4 day hands-on course serves to form the cornerstone of a career in mobile electronics. Classroom and lab activities will empower you with technical knowledge that will serve you throughout your career. All mobile electronics equipment is based on AC (Alternating Current) and DC (Direct Current) principles. A working knowledge of these principles is key to a successful career. Hands-on activities with test equipment will prepare you to be an expert in the field.

This 4-day course introduces the student to the fundamentals of Acoustics or “The Science of Sound.” A good working knowledge of acoustics makes a big difference when building systems that will blow you away. In addition, students are introduced to vehicle security systems, wireless communication, navigation systems and satellite radio. These new technologies have become an integral part of the mobile electronics industry.

3 Day Hands-On Training Program (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Time to get out in our shop! This 3-day hands-on course is an excellent opportunity to put some of your newly learned skills to the test. Lab activities include learning how to connect basic audio systems, and how to make proper wiring connections. Classroom activities are all about making BASS! Our expert instructors will teach you how to design the ultimate subwoofer enclosure.

5 Day Hands-On Training Program (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

More Hands-on! 5 days of great lab and classroom sessions. Install a complete audio and security system in one of our test vehicles. This is an excellent opportunity to ask instructors all those questions about the real world of being an installation technician. Classroom activities teach you the principles of the crossover for audio applications as well as the latest in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) or “Factory” integration. Being able to interface into factory systems is one of the biggest growth sectors of our industry today. You will be faced with this almost immediately when you get out there. Our job is to get you ready.

2 Day Hands-On Training Program (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

This 2-day course expands on earlier training in mobile security systems and includes instruction on complex vehicle electrical systems, unusual security system functions, as well as providing the student with an overview of remote starters and their installation.

5 Day Hands-On Training Program (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

A 5-day hands-on course. This all hands-on program has a focus on a better understanding of the installation of some of the most common mobile electronics systems. As a student you have the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of satellite radio, navigation and mobile video installation. You’ll also get experience in working with remote start systems and factory integration. Finally, students begin the design of their enclosure project.

5 Day Hands-On Training Program (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

5 more days of shop time! In Phase 8 you’ll continue your training in speaker enclosure design. You will learn more advanced techniques such as designing ported enclosures. You also have the opportunity to design a custom enclosure for one of our shop vehicles. Check out how good it sounds once constructed. Also, you’ll get training in kickpod design and constructions as well as custom techniques using composite materials (fiberglass, carbon fiber, kevlar). The week finishes with learning vinyl upholstery and underlay techniques to give your enclosure a finished look.

4 Day Hands-On Training Program (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

This 4-day hands-on course introduces the student to the field of custom home system installation. “Custom Home” or “Residential Systems” are becoming an integral part of our industry. Many store owners expect our grads to know the basics of home audio. This program applies the knowledge of mobile electronics installation to building high performance home theater or office audio systems. Students are also introduced to the common tools of the trade, audio and video system calibration and practical hands-on skills in the running of wiring, component installation and interconnection and system setup.

4 Day Hands-On Training Program (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

4 days of working on custom installations and learning how to start your own business. Lab activities focus on student vehicle work. Whether you bring your own car or help with another students project, our instructors will help you trick out a system in our well equipped shop. Phase 10 classroom activities focus on being your own boss. Students wishing to eventually start their own business can participate in these classroom sessions that are filled with extremely valuable information for the entrepreneur.
