The Mobile Electronics Certified Professional (MECP) program is the only nationally recognized program that certifies mobile electronics installers and sales people on the installation techniques and capabilities of automotive information technology, entertainment, navigation and safety/security systems. MECP issues Basic Installer, Advanced Installer, Master Installer and Mobile Product Specialist certifications to mobile electronics professionals who pass a written exam and meet the professioinal experience criteria. Installers are recertified every two to four years and are encouraged to progress toward achieving Master Installer certification. Owned and operated by the Consumer Electronics Association has certified more than 25,000 installers since its creation in 1991. Nearly 10,000 professionals at thousands of retail locations across the country hold current MECP certifications and more than 5,000 installers take the exam annually."

Mobile Dynamics is an official test site for MECP.

MECP certification consists of 3 main levels of accomplishment; MECP Basic Level Certification, MECP Advanced Level Certification, and MECP Master Level Certification.

Basic Installer Certification MECP Basic Level Certification
-  No job experience required .
-  Mandatory requirement for employment in most retail operations.
-  Valid for 2 years.The first step in attaining national certification.

Mobile Dynamics graduates participate in this 150 question national test available to students immediately following our PHASE 4 training program. Topics include course materials covered in PHASE 1 through 4. Students are prepared for this exam by attending PHASE 1 - 4 and by attending the Mobile Dynamics "MECP Basic Level Workshop". This workshop is presented on the day following PHASE 4 and is designed as a review and question session in preparation for the MECP exam in the afternoon.
First Class Installer Certification MECP Advanced Level Certification

-  1 year job experience required *.
-  Valid for 4 years.

Advanced Level certified installers typically enjoy greater job benefits. Many retail stores base pay and seniority on MECP status. Mobile Dynamics graduates participate in this 200 question national test available to students immediately following our PHASE 7 training program. Topics include course materials covered in PHASE 1 through 7. Students are prepared for this exam by attending PHASE 1 -7 and by attending the Mobile Dynamics "MECP Advanced Level Workshop". This workshop is presented on the day following PHASE 7 and is designed as a review and question session in preparation for the MECP exam in the afternoon.

* When at Mobile Dynamics you are prepared for and given the opportunity to take the Advanced Level Examination. Upon completion and a passing score, you need to show MECP proof of employment in the industry for a period of one year and your MECP certificate will be sent to you.

Master Installer Certification MECP Master Level Certification

-  Valid for 4 years. MECP's Highest Level Of Recognition.

"Master Level " installers are part of an elite group of industry professionals that enjoy great pay and recognition. Installers reaching this level of expertise are typically in high profile positions in management, supervision, or manufacturer based dealer and consumer support positions. PHASE 9 Graduates will have an opportunity to participate in Mobile Dynamics Advanced Post-Grad programs in preparation for MECP Master Level testing. These postgraduate courses are not available at this time. Graduates will be notified regarding availability.
