| Tom's career in car audio installation started in 1977 as an installer for a small retail operation. Tom continued to work as an installer until 1986 when he was asked to join the team at Alpine Electronics. At Alpine, Tom was responsible for tech support for Canadian Alpine dealers. Tom also provided dealer training for Alpine’s Canadian dealer network. In addition to his tech support and training duties Tom was responsible for Alpine’s fleet of demo vehicles. This involved the design and construction of demo vehicles for both sales reps and dealers across Canada. In 1990 Tom and a co-worker from Alpine (Derek Lee) started Mobile Dynamics. This interest led him to military training in electronics. Ultimately Paul became a Senior Instructor for Marine Corps where he taught radar technology. Upon leaving the military Paul worked for Motorola and then High Tech Institute School as Director of the Electronics Department. He joined the team at Mobile Dynamics in 1998.
